—Tomorrow is a big day for burger lovers. Every Shake Shack around the world is giving away free burgers to the first 100 customers on Tuesday from 10:30 a.m. until noon in honor of the 100th location of Danny Meyer's burger chain phenomenon opening that day in Boston. Chicago Shake Shacks are in River North, the ground floor of the Chicago Athletic Association hotel on Michigan Avenue in the Loop, and in the Old Orchard Mall in Skokie.

—West Town Bakery & Diner on Chicago Avenue was the victim of a car crash early Saturday morning, according to multiple social media posts and a DNAinfo report. The bakery portion reopened later on Saturday and the diner on Sunday. Check out a photo of the scene below.
—Is Brendan Sodikoff finally moving forward on a new restaurant for his space on the same Kinzie Street block as Bavette's? The star restaurateur applied for a liquor license for the 226-230 W. Kinzie St. address under the name "Old Money," but a representative says they "don't have details right now and the name might change." Sodikoff has switched gears multiple times on the concept that he most recently shared intel on in July 2014. Stay tuned for more.
—Say goodbye to the possibility of a Fahlstrom's Fresh Fish Market in Rosemont. Plans for a location in the near northwest suburb have been dropped, according the Daily Herald, which also reported in May that it was coming there.
—Things have gotten messy for the new-ish Clarke's Diner in Hyde Park. The restaurant is going to be evicted by the University of Chicago "in the coming days," DNAinfo reports, after it "only made one rent payment since November" and has been violating a court order that called for the restaurant to leave the space by July 29. However, owner Tom Tsatas tells the news outlet that he doesn't expect to close and that "I can promise you the community is in store for quite a surprise." All this following the shutter and/or slight reconcepts of Clarke's locations in Lakeview, Lincoln Park, and Bucktown.
—And finally, here's a photo of Eddie Vedder and Chris Chelios getting silly at Viagra Triangle bar The Lodge, courtesy of Facebook.
