Beer, bands and bourbon serve as the rallying cry for a new bar opening soon in The Loop. It's called 2Twenty2 Tavern and they're right now looking to book rock 'n' roll and jazz bands for the space at 222. S. Wabash Ave. The bar could open later this month.

This plan of operation submitted to the city shows that they'll have a late-night kitchen, but won't (at least right now) pursue a late-night liquor license. They'll have shuffleboard and other games, as well.

Check back later for more details.
