LINCOLN PARK— Fairways may not be going away forever, however the city's first golf simulator bar and restaurant has closed at 1141 W. Armitage Ave. in Lincoln Park. DNAinfo, via Facebook, reported that they're opening a location somewhere in Wicker Park later this year. Owner Michael McCutcheon hasn't responded to inquiries.

EVANSTON—Longtime Ethiopian restaurant Addis Abeba is no more at 1322 Chicago Ave. But a new owner has already taken over and is planning a new concept for the space. The people behind Bowls & Bao in the Loop are bringing another "Louisiana seafood" restaurant to the area around the end of August, according to the owner who only gave her first name, Jackie, and didn't provide the name of the new restaurant.

ANDERSONVILLE— Noodle Zone & Sushi Bar has abruptly closed. The Thai/Japanese mash-up at 5427 N. Clark St. has a sign outside announcing the shutter and their GrubHub page no longer accepts orders.

UPTOWN— Yes, Sunday was the final day of operations for Inspiration Kitchens in Uptown, Uptown Update reminded readers. The restaurant, which gave food industry jobs to the poor and even former criminals who has served time in prison, was a victim of state budget cuts in Springfield.
