The mystery surrounding that coffee shop coming to Armitage Avenue in Lincoln Park has been solved. La Colombe Torrefaction is opening their fourth cafe in Chicago at 858 W. Armitage Ave. The company also has a roasting facility and event space in Logan Square. Phil Tadros and his Bow Truss Coffee chain were also interested in the location inside a former UPS Store.
La Colombe brass didn't provide an opening date when DNAinfo reached out, and a representative says that construction is about to begin. Just remember: This isn't an Internet hangout. Besides the quality of their coffee, the Philadelphia-based chain is known for a no-WiFi policy. Guests will just have to rely on talking with each other when it opens.
