There's a pair of restaurant openings coming soon to the NEWCITY shopping center at Halsted and Clybourn near Lincoln Park. The Melt, a San Francisco-based burger chain, is debuting in Chicago with a summer opening, while the second Chicago post of Kizuki Ramen & Izakaya should open later this fall, according to NEWCITY.
The openings could help breathe more life into the shopping center which opened in October. Kizuki arrived in Chicago when it opened a Wicker Park ramen shop in February. The new spots will join Nando's Peri Peri, Earl's Kitchen+Bar, Adobe Gilas and more chain restaurants inside Chicago's tranquil slice of suburbia on the North Side.
Are these additions enough to attract more shoppers to NEWCITY? Share your feelings in the comments.
