Today, a unique new spot opens in Logan Square that serves coffee during the day and Latin American-inspired cocktails at night. Heisler Hospitality, the owners of Sportsman's Club, Lone Wolf and Queen Mary, debut Estereo at 11 a.m. This triangular-shaped space makes for a breezy way to spend the entire day.
Heisler's managing partners Wade McElroy and Jeff Donahue brought in Ben Fasman (Sportsman's, Big Star) and Michael Rubel (Lone Wolf, Violet Hour) to craft the drinks and run the bar. Take a look at the full cocktail list and available spirits below. Fans of beer cocktails should be pleased by a drink made with jalapeño-spiked tequila and strawberry with Off Color Brewing's Fierce weissbier. That's one of 10 cocktails. There's also the coffee cocktail which features arrack, averna and coconut-date horchata. Perhaps it's a nod to the cross-breezes inside the space, but check out the house highball called The Breezy. Drinkers pick their favorite spirit and bartenders mix that with Yerba mate, Falernum, soda and lime.
They'll pour Dark Matter Coffee during the day and food wise they'll have a few house-made snacks available. Check out the drink selections below.
Estereo, 2450 N. Milwaukee Ave., (773) 360-8363, open 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Sunday through Friday; 11 a.m. to 3 a.m. on Saturday.
