Ramen fans in the Midwest have great news coming out of Milwaukee. Beard Award-nominated chef Justin Carlisle from Ardent is opening a new restaurant sprouting out of his popular late-night ramen series. Red Light Ramen should open in late-July, according to OnMilwaukee.

Carlisle debuted late-night ramen on the weekends in December 2013, and long lines have followed, making the events a cult favorite in Milwaukee. Back in February, Carlisle visited in Chicago where he hosted a Red Light pop-up at the White Oak Tavern & Inn.

Ardent will continue weekend ramen service for the time being, Carlisle told OnMilwaukee. He added that Red Light Ramen will serve three types of ramen including a chilled-smoked trout variety.
