A Milwaukee-based coffee shop chain has its sights on a Clark Street space across the street from a Starbucks. Colectivo Coffee plans on opening a spot at Clark and Deming, according to DNAinfo. Colectivo, formerly known as Alterra Coffee, will move inside the vacated Einstein Bros. Bagels that shuttered after that chain announced massive closings in 2015.

Colectivo didn't confirm the plans with DNAinfo. The company was founded in 1993, and has forged relationships with farmers and co-ops. They run 16 locations in Milwaukee and Madison, Wis. They're also known for their breakfast offerings, baking goods under the name Troubador Bakery. Although the Lincoln Park space at 2530 N. Clark St. is a tiny one, other Colectivo locations in Wisconsin are known to host live music. The Einstein site does have outdoor patio space.
