—Wicker Parkers are getting a new option for falafel, shawarma and more on the Milwaukee Avenue strip in a matter of days. Rumi Middle Eastern Grill is planning a grand opening on June 25 at 1534 N. Milwaukee, joining a host of other falafel options in the neighborhood such as Sultan's Market, Falafel & Grill, Shawarma Garden, and many more. Check out the menu here.
—Kabul House, the popular Michelin Bib Gourmand-winning Afghan restaurant in Skokie, is moving to a larger location at 2424 Dempster St. in Evanston, according to the Tribune's Skokie Review. Expect the current location to close around the end of the summer and the new spot to open days later.
—Billy Lawless' Michigan Avenue restaurants Acanto and The Gage got major accolades for their wine programs, with The World of Fine Wine magazine awarding them three and two stars, respectively. The programs were developed by sommelier Jon McDaniel.
—Son of Whisk, the new Logan Square location of the popular brunch and burger restaurant, is slated to open on July 7 in the former Son of a Butcher space, ownership says.

—Le Diner en Blanc, the somewhat secretive upscale outdoor picnic-style dinner event where attendees wear all white to an undisclosed location, is returning to Chicago for the fifth year on August 12. The invitations go out in stages, beginning with past attendees before moving on to referrals, and new attendees can register for the waiting list here.
