Come in tonight to Lark in Boystown and see what four months of renovations have merited. LKH Management closed Halsted's Bar + Grill in February, and they've revamped the space for a new generation of fun in Lakeview. Today is the official opening day to the public, and they're even giving away vouchers for free food.

The all-inclusive vibe features music from the 80s and 90s, and 13 TVs that will play music videos from an era when MTV actually played music videos. It's a 2,400-square-foot space that can accommodate 90 people. Halsted's patio set-up was also modernized, as there's outdoor seating for about 100, and they've imported the old bar from Cullen's, which closed last year on Southport.
The tag team of chefs Bernardo Ibarra (Girl and the Goat) and Kaz Medhat (Magnolia Café) helm the kitchen, serving VPN-certified Neapolitan thin-crust pizzas from a Mugnaini oven and other Italian-influenced specialties. Hopheads can choose from 16 draft beers, and LKH's Vlad Novikov (Replay) is once more handling drinks.
Halsted's had a 12-year run, but now its given way to Lark. Check out the menus below and see what LKH has done with the place tonight and to determine if Lark's a worthy successor.
