Ashok Selvam is the editor of Eater Chicago and a native Chicagoan armed with more than two decades of award-winning journalism. Now covering the world of restaurants and food, his nut graphs are super nutty.

Last month, signs pointed toward the start of construction at the Nobu Hotel in the West Loop. Now Curbed Chicago is reporting that workers are moving forward on the 90,000-square-foot project that includes a 10,000-square-foot restaurant and 76 hotel rooms.

Nobu hasn't shared much information about the restaurant portion. However, a rendering shows a sidewalk dining area. Another rendering shows a rooftop area with views of the Willis Tower, plus a glassed-off bar area. View that image below. Nobu is being built at 846 W. Randolph St.
