Tiny Lounge continues to add to its expansion plans, as the bar has applied for a liquor license for a new space along the Chicago Riverwalk. Expect a formal announcement from the city next week. This comes after March's news that the cocktail bar is opening a Navy Pier location.

Big Star starts offering breakfast tacos on Thursday, and to celebrate they'll give customers a free taco from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Cinco de Mayo. The breakfast tacos will be available from the take-out window, and sold Friday through Sunday.

—A beloved slashie should close on July 17 in Jefferson Park. DNAinfo reported that Fischman's Liquors, a bar/liquor store hybrid, will shutter due to a dispute with the building's landlord at 4780 N. Milwaukee Ave. The current owners bought the business in 1996. The bar's asking customers to email memories from the bar over the last 20 years.

—Released in conjunction with Monday night's Beard Foundation Awards, Renaissance Hotels has nabbed Andrew Zimmern to star in a promotional web video series, and the first episode was recorded in Chicago. The first 5-plus-minute short has him having dinner with Billy Dec (Rockit), Boka executive chef Lee Wolen and others. Watch the first episode of "The Navigator" here which Food+Wine notes also has stops in Nashville and New York.

—Tune in on May 15 to CBS to see the owners of Andersonville's Hamburger Mary's star on the reality TV show "Undercover Boss." The restaurant is hosting a viewing party at 8 p.m. on the broadcast date, reported DNAinfo.

—The newest location of Kanela Breakfast Club now has an opening date in Andersonville. Edgeville Buzz reports the restaurant will open Thursday at 5413 N. Clark St. in the old Summerdale space.

Output, a lounge near the United Center with some of the city's best chicken wings, has been found not to be culpable for an April 23 shooting outside the bar. Chicago police said the bar had no responsibility for a gang-related shooting that involved a customer, reported DNAinfo.
