606-Adjacent Coffee and Cocktail Shop Opens on Monday

The new Ipsento will also serve doughnuts

A summertime stroll along The 606 is about to get a lot tastier thanks to a new Ipsento located adjacent to the Milwaukee Ave. entrance of the elevated trail. Opening on Monday, according to Chicagoist, the shop is located at 1813 N. Milwaukee Ave. and offers two unique offerings — doughnuts and cocktails — alongside single-origin coffee.

The small-batch doughnuts are made with sweet potato and house-milled Kamut, an ancient grain similar to wheat with a nutty flavor. At night, the shop transitions to offer six house cocktails featuring top-shelf spirits in addition to bar snacks such as cheese, charcuterie, and candied nuts. "The goal is to offer craft, quality, and well-sourced ingredients, not just with coffee, but also with food," says general manager Harris Nash.

Larger than the original location, which opened in 2006, the space features exposed brick, a vintage tin ceiling, and large wood bar. It is open daily from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.
