Jovanis Bouargoub opened the first Porkchop five years ago in the West Loop, and the barbecue chain continues to expand. There's six restaurants already and three more are on the way, all in the suburbs. Porkchop will open restaurants in Oak Brook, Bolingbrook and Merrillville, Ind.

The Oak Brook location is slotted for an upcoming AMC movie theater complex at Oakbrook Center. It's a 1,000-square-foot space that a news release compared to the Porkchop location at Navy Pier. It's planned to open in August.

The Bolingbrook space should open by July at the Bolingbrook Promenade. It's a 2,400-square-foot full-service restaurant with a bar and patio. They'll also sell uncooked meats to go which customers can prepare at home.

Then there's the Indiana Porkchop that will open in September in Merrillville. It's a 4,200-square-foot restaurant that will also include a patio.
