It's been 11 years since LTH Forum, Chicago's well-known online restaurant and food group, compiled its first list of Great Neighborhood Restaurants and Resources. This year, voters added 11 new restaurants to their list, compared to 18 last year. Members unveiled the new list on Friday.
Filipino restaurants finally received recognition. LTH Forum inducted two of them to the class of 2016: Isla Pilipina and Uncle Mike's Place. Senegalese food also debuted on the list, thanks to the inclusion of Badou Sengalese Cuisine. Finally, as Americans enjoy more Chinese food, food for different parts of the country are gaining popularity. Xi'ian Cuisine serves from Northwest China's Shaanxi province. Meanwhile, Chengdu Impression, serving Sichuan cuisine, also made the list. The owner, Ryan Hu, is the nephew of legally-troubled Tony Hu from Lao Sze Chuan
