Phil Tadros (Bow Truss) and Jared Leonard (Budlong) are partnering once more. This time they're bringing Tadros' Aquanaut Brewing Co. and Leonard's Nashville hot chicken from The Budlong to near the border of Edgewater and Rogers Park. Two complementary concepts would open by the end of the year at 1221 W. Devon Ave., according to DNAinfo.

Tadros sounded a bit gun shy when reached on Wednesday. He's hopeful he gains the needed approvals, but said he felt premature sharing plans as he's meeting with Ald. (48th) Harry Osterman's office on Wednesday.

"Once we get their blessings, we'll feel more comfortable talking about the project," Tadros said.

There's apparently plans for a taproom and another brewing facility for Aquanaut to add capacity with their existing brewery that opened two years ago at 5345 N. Wolcott Ave. Tadros and Leonard would operate their spaces independent, though beer could be brought into the neighboring restaurant.

Another Tadros and Leonard joint venture opened on Tuesday. After two years of scheming, Leonard finally began serving chicken at Budlong in Lakeview, with plans for another in Lincoln Square later this year.

Fried chicken and beer on the North Side sound a like a great combination. Just keep Cubs pitchers Jon Lester and John Lackey far away. No baseball fan wants to see them revert to old behaviors.
