Finch's Beer Co. isn't the only change guests can expect at the Breakroom Brewery space when the Albany Park brewpub re-opens as Finch's Kitchen in about a month. Matthias Merges (Yusho, Billy Sunday) will be behind a menu inspired by a "classic beer hall with international flair," according to Crain's.

Merges confirmed Finch's involvement, saying renovations will take about four weeks before a reopening. Crain's reported that sausages and charcuterie could part of the menu. Finch's Kitchen is Merges' second brewery project, as work continues on Old Irving Brewery, 4415-19 W. Montrose Ave. Merges took over the project —formerly known as Crooked Fork Brewing— after his friend, Homaro Cantu, died.

BreakRoom closed on Sunday after about a year of operations.
