NBA superstar LeBron James spent an off day traveling in Chicago and surprised workers Thursday afternoon at the Blaze Pizza in Streeterville. James posed with the crew and greeting customers at the fast-casual pizza joint that he began investing in back in 2012. Some customers even mistook James for former teammate Dwayne Wade, according to ABC News.
Now this is an All-Star team! S/O to @kingjames for stopping by our Chicago-Streeterville restaurant today. pic.twitter.com/I08UmsHSsH

James is in town before Saturday night's game versus the hapless Bulls at the United Center. It's not the first time James made the decision to stop by at a Blaze. He actually worked behind the counter back in March at a Blaze Pizza in Pasadena, Calif., as seen is this video. He even told customers his name was "Ron." In October, James ended his endorsement deal with McDonald's and became the pitch man for Blaze, expanding his relationship with the company.
The social media activity is a bit surprising. Last month, James told reporters that he had unfollowed the Cavaliers team account on Twitter as a way to better concentrate on the upcoming playoffs. Apparently, Blaze Pizza is not a distraction.
