HYDE PARK— Cumin lamb, mango pork and vegan tofu tacos are on the menu at Hyde Park Taco Station. The long-awaited spot is finally open, and Hyde Park Herald has the details. StatusCertified open, 5300 S. Dorchester Ave.

LOGAN SQUARE— A new restaurant is trying for a romantic vibe with a dash of Ecuador. DNAinfo has the scoop on Penumbra Wine Bar, from the former owner of El Sabor Cirollo. Steaks, pasta and wine are all on the menu. Status: Certified open, 3309 W. Fullerton Ave.

OAK PARK— A new Mediterranean spot from a co-owner of The Dawson is open in suburban Oak Park. It's called Citrine Cafe and will serve items baked in an over in clay pots, according to Crain's. Status: Certified open, 100 S. Oak Park Ave.

LINCOLN PARK— A new wood-fired pizza spot is open in Lincoln Park. Uprising Woodfire Pizza Cafe. is baking Neapolitan pies and sandwiches. Status: Certified open, 948 W. Armitage Ave.

BRIDGEPORT— Italian stalwart Franco's Ristorante is back open after renovations that started last year. They've repainted the space and will offer a "twist" on the menu, according to DNAinfo. StatusCertified open, 300 W. 31st St.

MELROSE PARKWingstop, the Dallas-based chain of chicken wing restaurants, has a new suburban location. NFL Hall of Famer Troy Aikman serves as spokesman for the chain, which counts 45 in the Chicagoland area. Status: Certified open, 1372 Winston Plaza, Melrose Park.
