A Chicago chef picked up one of the top awards in the country for the seventh year in a row. Food & Wine released its list of the best new chefs in the country for 2016 this morning, and Iliana Regan, chef/owner of Elizabeth and the recently-opened Bunny, the Micro Bakery, was honored by the magazine. Previous Chicago chefs to make the list include Grant Achatz, Rick Bayless, Jake Bickelhaupt, Jason Vincent, Dave Beran, Stephanie Izard, Danny Grant and Mike Sheerin.
Regan, who is also hoping to open the Japanese restaurant Kitsune this spring in North Center, is one of 10 chefs around the country to pick up the honor. Head over to Eater National for more coverage of the 2016 honorees.
