Adolfo Garcia (Son Of A Butcher, Pearl Tavern) is staying busy downtown. Not only is Broken English Taco Pub is opening on May 5 (yes, gringo —Cinco de Mayo), but now he's announcing his involvement in Early Society, a kind of diner with grab-and-go options so the office crowd could find a "reasonable cup of coffee." Early Society will open on Monday at 77 W. Wacker Dr. in the Terrace on Clark space.

Garcia has lured former Virgin Hotel Chicago executive sous chef John Comerford, who worked with former-Virgin chef Rick Gresh in opening the property's restaurants last year. Over at Early Society, there's a juice bar and they'll also pour La Colombe coffees. The menu includes burgers, salads, a grilled cheese and more. Garcia and Co. claim visitors won't find overpriced-pastries, and that prices will —again— stay reasonable.

Inside, guests will find vintage photography and leather sofas, as well as communal tables. There's seats for 60, and they'll serve lunch, and corporate catering will be available. Early Society will open weekdays until 5 p.m.
