Chicago Chef Week Starts Today, Bar Marta Starts Brunch Service, More Intel

—Chicago Chef Week, similar to Restaurant Week, kicks off today at more than 100 restaurants all around the city. Check out the list of restaurants here that are offering three-course prix fixe lunches for $33 and four-course prix fixe dinners for $44.

—Bar Marta, the hot Humboldt Park restaurant from a staff of Hogsalt vets, kicked off weekend brunch. Check out the full menu below, which features chorizo breakfast tacos, banana French toast, and a large bar section.

—Kitsune, the Japanese restaurant and pub concept in Lincoln Square from superchef Iliana Regan, is now slated for a mid-summer opening rather than this spring. Regan writes in her newsletter that she has begun remodeling the space.

—Dinner Lab, the data-driven dining club that started in New Orleans, has shut down. The website leads to a long goodbye message. The club expanded to Chicago in early 2014.

—The Guardian takes a deep dive into the population of Chicago restaurant workers that are also homeless and were "sent by Chinese employment agencies that are being investigated by the Illinois attorney general for alleged civil rights, human rights and labor law violations."
