WEST LOOP— Federales Tequila & Tacos, the Mexican collaboration between Brendan Sodikoff's Hogsalt Hospitality and Four Corners Tavern, is slated to open later this spring at 180 N. Morgan St., according to a rep.
WICKER PARK— Angry Crab's second location is now scheduled to open "May-ish," according to the owners. The restaurant at 1308 N. Milwaukee Ave. will have 120 seats.
AROUND TOWN— Bow Truss announced three more coffee shops. But the twist, Phil Tadros said, is one of them will have a kitchen. That's the space at 1008 W. Armitage Ave. There's also coffee shops planned for 800 W. Diversey Pwy. and 1362 W. Belmont Ave.

LAKEVIEW— 5411 Empanadas plans on opening at 3715 N. Southport Ave., according to DNAinfo. The chain's fifth location should open next month.
ROLLING MEADOWS— Gabutto Burger, the Japanese burger spot that was formerly inside Mitsuwa Marketplace in Arlington Heights, has location for a stand-alone restaurant in neighboring Rolling Meadows at 1410 W. Golf Road, reports The Daily Herald. They started a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds.
WEST LOOP— Starbucks is planning a new shop at 1000 W. Randolph St., according to DNAinfo. The location across the street will eventually relocate.
WICKER PARK— The Shambles, the late-night dive on Division Street with a 4 a.m. liquor license, is going to add seats and adding a family-friendly seafood concept, reports DNAinfo. The bar's been closed since last month, but should re-open this summer.
SOUTH LOOP— The City Tavern space that closed in May 2014 finally has a new tenant. Sloopin reports that Armand's Pizzeria will take over the spot at 1416 S. Michigan Ave.
ROGERS PARK— Last year saw the closure of two Clarke's diners, but this spring a new one is planned for 6431 N. Sheridan Road, reports DNAinfo. This one will stay open 24 hours-a-day.
