Looks like suburban Oak Park is getting in on Chicago's sweet brewery action. Kinslagher Brewing, the suburb's first brewery with taproom, should open on Friday. Now comes news of a collaboration with Hamburger Mary's. Oak Park Brewing Co. will connect to Hamburger Mary's Show Lounge, the new Oak Park spot, and they're planning to open on St. Patrick's Day, according to the Tribune.
It will be a family-friendly environment, and there will be a stage for karaoke at 155 S. Oak Park Ave. There's 14 draft lines, as the bar will even serve Kinslagher. It seems like a similar set up Hamburger Mary's has in Chicago, with their companion Andersonville Brewing.
There's a room dedicated to former Oak Park resident Ernest Hemingway, as well the Frank Lloyd Rye IPA, a tribute to the famed architect. While March 17 is the target opening, ownership told the Trib that it might be later.
