After 14 months of planning, The Victor Bar is finally ready to give North Center a touch of Paris. The swanky cocktail bar, run by a team of three brothers who practice law, opened at 4 p.m. today. Check out the special cocktails they'll be mixing up below.

Inspired by French and American cocktail bars, such as The Violet Hour, the brothers Fehr hope to give north Chicagoans a nearby specialty cocktail den without the need to trek downtown. It's a small space at 700 square feet and there's leather benches with seating for about 35 with an old-school aesthetic. Visitors will find candles on each table that light an intimate space with exposed brick adorning the wall behind the bar.

Check out the drink and snack menu below and photos above.

The Victor Bar, 4011 N. Damen Ave., (312) 526-3233, open 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. daily; closes at 3 a.m. on Saturday.
