Craft beer bar and sausage haven Bangers & Lace is working on a third location. Footman Hospitality hasn't shared an opening date, but they confirmed they're taking over the former Endgrain spot at 1851 W. Addison St. DNAinfo first reported the news.
It's another twist for the storefront that housed Endgrain, which opened in June 2013. It shuttered in November 2014 and reopened in August 2015 as a bar without Enoch Simpson's pastry prowess. It's unclear when that iteration of Endgrain closed. Before that, the space housed neighborhood Italian favorite Terragusto.
Footman, which also operates The Betty, Sparrow, The Anthem and Bucktown Pub, said their new Roscoe Village space will be similar to Bangers & Lace locations in Wicker Park and Evanston, the latter which opened in January 2015. That means lots of beer and encased meats could liven up a somewhat sleepy stretch of Addison, especially compared to the shenanigans east toward Wrigley Field. Check back for more in the coming weeks.
