THE 606— Ipsento Coffee plans on opening its second retail shop, this time along the Bloomingdale Trail. A Facebook post details Ipsento's search for more investors.
EVANSTON— Evanston officials approved a liquor license for Sketchbook Brewing Co. This means they'll open a taproom in April at 825 Chicago Ave.
JEFFERSON PARK— Molly and Myles Ice Cream was not open on Easter weekend. But, as they pointed out, it's not a surprise as they're not yet ready to serve ice cream next to BeefBelly at 4802 N. Central Ave.
GOLD COAST— Little Beet Table now plans on opening either mid- or late-summer. The "smart food"-focused spot from New York is going in the development at 845 N. State St.
RAVENSWOOD— Farmer's market favorite La Boulangerie hopes to open a new bakery this fall at 1945 W. Wilson Ave.
LOGAN SQUARE— Late-night haunt Bonny's has a new owner. The bar closed in 2012, and DNAinfo has the details about the new owner, who was reluctant to share his plans for the space, other then it's a bar at 2417 N. Milwaukee Ave. The 4 a.m. liquor license wasn't part of the deal, so at least Slippery Slope is around.
WICKER PARK— Urbanbelly plans on opening its second location on Wednesday, April 6 inside the former Penny's Noodles spot underneath the CTA Blue Line stop at Damen.
WICKER PARK— While Detroiters don't have Buddy's Pizza in Chicago, they have Jet's Pizza, and the chain plans on opening a Wicker Park post, according to DNAinfo. Look for it by the end of April at 1811 W. North Ave.
BRIDGEPORT— Later this spring, The BallPark Pub will open at 514 W. Pershing Road, according to DNAinfo. Expect a baseball theme, with the owners hoping to attract White Sox fans with 20 beers on tap.
EDGEWATER— That bar from the husband of "Divergent" writer Veronica Roth has new life, according to DNAinfo. After securing another permit, Income Tax Bar hopes to open this summer at 5959 N. Broadway St.
