The former Paris Club space on Hubbard Street is alive once more, as il Porcellino opens tonight. Like Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises' neighboring Hub 51 and Ramen-San, this new trattoria will be run by the children of LEYE founder Rich Melman: Partners R.J., Jerrod and Molly Melman.

Aaron Martinez, late of Intro Chicago, has created a succinct menu of house-made pastas and daily specials. The weekend specials are the most intriguing with the 100-layer lasagna on Saturday and Family-Style Supper on Sunday. Partner/chef Doug Psaltis is also in on the project.

LEYE lured popular Los Angeles bartender Julian Cox as beverage director, and his Chicago debut features his take on the negroni, called "multiple-choice negroni." Six other cocktails round out the menu, as well as four beers.
