At long last, Four Corners Tavern Group and Hogsalt Hospitality Group are releasing more details on SteakBar, the restaurant crews are building at 1500 N. Wells St. in Old Town next to Four Corners' Benchmark. They're shooting to open next month but haven't revealed a specific date. A news release claims "fresh interpretations on favorite steak dishes."
What does the latter mean? The release offers up "chicken fried chicken steak" as an example served with garlic gravy and thyme. Hogsalt does have considerable steak experience through Bavette's Bar and Boeuf, and Brendan Sodikoff had said he's being brought in as a consultant on the project, as the news release referred to the relationship as a joint venture.

"Fun takes on classic cocktails" will make up SteakBar's beverage program, and the Wells Street crowd could be ideal for SteakBar's Fireball Old Fashioned. This is the first time in a while the parties have offered up details on the restaurant, including that the name of the restaurant is only one word. Check back for more, as Four Corners is handling dissemination of information.
