Smack Shack, the Minneapolis-based lobster roll restaurant, is hoping to open in the Google building next to Swift & Sons in April or May at 1000 W. Fulton Market. —That long-awaited Lincoln Square iteration of Jerry's Sandwiches is almost ready to open after passing inspections this week, ownership said. They'll offer the same menus as their other locations, and the opening could happen next weekend. DNAinfo has more from their owners.

Flat Top Grill, which recently revamped its menu, has been purchased by bd's Mongolian Grill, Crain's reported. The mini-chain, which began in 1995 in Lincoln Park, struggled financially. Earlier this week, the chain closed a Lakeview location that had been around for 18 years.
