Smack Shack, the Minneapolis-based lobster roll restaurant, is hoping to open in the Google building next to Swift & Sons in April or May at 1000 W. Fulton Market. Flat Top Grill, which recently revamped its menu, has been purchased by bd's Mongolian Grill, Crain's reported. The mini-chain, which began in 1995 in Lincoln Park, struggled financially. Earlier this week, the chain closed a Lakeview location that had been around for 18 years.
