LINCOLN PARK— Paula's Thai Kitchen, from the sister-in-law of the original owners of Spoon Thai, quietly opened in Lincoln Park, inside the former Taco Burrito Palace No. 2/Taj Mahal space. Status: Certified open, 2441 N. Halsted St.
NORTH CENTER— Chayana, a new Eurasian spot, has taken over Lazzat, another Central Asian restaurant. There's no working phone number listed, so check out their Facebook for more info. Status: Certified open, 2245 W. Irving Park Road.
HYDE PARK— Ancien Cycles has opened its second spot on the South Side. Expect the same coffee and sandwiches at their new location, in addition to the bicycle stuff. Status: Certified open, 1558 W. 53rd St.
