The restaurant opened on Valentine's Day 2014 inside the Hearty space, with owners Steve McDonagh and Dan Smith adding the talents of pastry chef Gale Gand. Staying true to their name, Spritz Burger also offered an assortment of mocktails that would make any straight edge kid happy.
