Changes are afoot at another of the public restaurants at Soho House Chicago. The swanky members-only club has shuttered Pizza East, one of the four restaurant and bar areas on the first or second floor that's open to non-members, as the Facebook page is now listed as "permanently closed." The change happened this past Saturday, according to a staffer, and the pizza and Italian restaurant is now undergoing renovations to turn it into an extension of the first-floor lounge The Allis. The re-opening date is undetermined at this time.
This isn't the first change for Soho House's public spaces since the Chicago outpost opened in August 2014 on Green Street in the West Loop. Management carved part of the second floor into Fox Bar while simultaneously revamping the menu at Chicken Shop in May 2015. The Allis is busy and thus is the only one that hasn't been altered, and in fact it will become larger soon. Chicken Shop and Fox Bar remain open.
