Tonight, Eden emerges in the West Loop, allowing Paramount Events to expand by opening their first restaurant. The space gives Paramount a chance to showcase their techniques and hospitality, the same traits the catering company normally reserves for weddings and other private functions. Of course, Eden can also be booked for those same kind of events. They’ve got two private rooms giving Paramount a versatile location a half mile from the United Center.
The food’s New American with a Mediterranean touch. Inside, guests will find a 95-seat rustic restaurant with a menu from chef/partner Devon Quinn. Quinn’s worked as executive chef at Paramount since they opened in 2011. He’s also worked at Terzo Piano at the Art Institute of Chicago. Items like umami doughnuts, roasted baby beets and braised duck lasagna bear influences from various countries including Portugal, Lebanon, and Spain. The kitchen will use ingredients from an onsite 1,800-square-foot greenhouse.
Eden’s ownership hopes their restaurant can help ignite the immediate surrounding area which they’re calling the West Lake District. See if the name and the restaurant catches on starting today.
Eden, 1748 W. Lake St., (312) 366-2294, open 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Tuesday through Wednesday; 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.; Thursday through Saturday; 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday.
