Blackhawks and Bulls fans no longer have to settle for boring bar food near the United Center, as Eden opens on Friday on Lake Street in the West Loop. It’s the first restaurant from Paramount Events, a well-known catering company that’s expanding their operations. Eden greets guests with a dining room full of warm woods where diners will feast upon a menu of Mediterranean and New American items.

There’s a chef’s table where seven diners can ogle the open kitchen and interact with staff and a back bar where patrons can opt to grab a snack including umami doughnuts served on a bed of burnt cinnamon tomato sauce with a raclette dipping sauce. Peer through the entire menu here. Much of their produce comes from an onsite urban garden, a resource that’s grown popular among restaurants. It’s very Eden-esque.

Both the chef’s table and bar use tiles imported from Spain, and there’s room for 95 seats. The exposed brick is a nod to the neighborhood’s industrial roots, and there’s framed vintage mudcloths hanging from the walls. The metal tables are made of zinc.

Take a look at the photos below. Eden opens on Friday at 1748 W. Lake St.
