CANARYVILLE— Del Sur Bar & Grill, the upscale Latin American restaurant from a former sous chef at The Gage, has closed. The restaurant opened late last year at 4559 S. Halsted St. DNAinfo spoke with the restaurant’s landlord who is looking for a new tenant.
MAG MILE— Michigan Avenue’s Hershey’s Chocolate World is closing. The tourist attraction’s performance just wasn’t making enough executives smile. The Tribune reported the chocolatier at 822 N. Michigan Ave. would close its Chicago flagship in January, which would end an almost 12-year run. It’s one of eight amusement locations for the Pennsylvania company.
LINCOLN PARK— After 15 years, Panera Bread has closed their restaurant at 2070 N. Clybourn Ave. The cafe, inside the same strip mall that houses Dirk's Fish & Gourmet Shop, closed on Nov. 29, according to the DNAinfo.
SKOKIE— After 18 years, suburban Skokie’s Breadsmith has closed. Ownership made the announcement on Sunday, as their last day of business was on Friday at 3750 Dempster St. in Skokie. The European-style bakery has locations on the North Shore in Highland Park and in the Southwest Suburbs in Palos Heights. Their website reads that they hope to reopen in Skokie with a new franchisee.

GLADSTONE PARK— BRGR Belly is on the move. For months, rumors have swirled about a new location, and now DNAinfo reported they’re taking their talents to suburban Rosemont. They’ll stay open at 5691 N. Milwaukee Ave. until the end of the month and will start offering burgers over at their Beef Belly location in Jefferson Park on Jan. 1. They should open at an undisclosed Rosemont location over the summer. There’s still the original location in Portage Park.
