Tour the Wicker Park Hotels' Restaurants, Bars, and Rooftop Spaces

Years in the making, Wicker Park and Bucktown are about to welcome the project that could transform the neighborhood — the twin boutique hotels The Robey and The Hollander. Situated in the historic Northwest Tower and Hollander Fireproof Warehouse building on the nexus corner of North, Milwaukee, and Damen avenues, the hotels will bring 18 total floors of guest rooms, restaurants, bars, lounges and rooftops, adding to an already robust dining and drinking scene in the neighborhood. The Robey and Hollander are slated to officially open to the public on Nov. 30.

Of the food and beverage outlets, Cafe Robey, the ground-floor French-inspired restaurant and bar in The Robey, will open first any day now. The bright triangular-shaped space, matching the shape of the building itself, seats 55 at red banquettes, stylish tables, and a coffee/liquor bar that all looks out to the hustle and bustle of the neighborhood. Above that on the second floor is a chic and comfortable lounge and then the indoor-outdoor Up and Up rooftop lounge with unparalleled views outside of downtown on the top floor.

Next door at The Hollander, the stylish hostel-esque hotel, a ground-floor cafe space will also house a bike repair shop. Expect coffee, hot dogs, bottled cocktails, and canned and bottled beer to be served there soon. And up on the rooftop here houses the Cabana Club, another bar and lounge that features a swimming pool, which can be entered through The Robey and should open in the spring.
