Bodega, the new second-floor bar inside the ACME Hotel inspired by the neighborhood corner store, is now open. The Fifty/50 Restaurant Group, which also runs the Berkshire Room on the hotel’s ground floor, operates this new bar. It’s a quaint space that could provide salvation from downtown shoppers this holiday season.

Nostalgia is a heavy component in the concept. There’s three alcohol-spiked sodas simply named by their color: Red (tequila, Aperol, grapefruit, lime), blue (gin, Cochi Americano, blue Caracao, lemon, absinthe) and purple (pisco, Maraschino, lemon, creme de violette).

Here’s the drink lineup at Bodega.

There’s also drinks served in glass flasks, and the main event: The frosty and slushi negronis poised to bring drinkers back brain freeze. That’s the mind-numbing feeling visitors incurred from drinking Icees, Slurpies and Slush Puppies.

Check out the full drink list below. There’s an emphasis on whimsical and fun inside Bodega and it’s something River North needs. The new bar is now open inside the ACME Hotel.

Bodega, on the second floor of the ACME Hotel, 15 E. Ohio. St., open 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. Wednesday through Saturday.
