Another restaurant/bar concept has called it quits at 2015 W. Division St. 25 Degrees Wicker Park, the second Chicago location of the burger and boozy milkshake specialist, has shuttered on Division Street. For those counting at home, that makes five failed concepts since 2012 in this space: Aki Sushi, Paradise CantinaFame, 25 Degrees and the bar it reconcepted from, Barley & Brass.

Co-owner Joe Boumaroun confirmed the closure this week, writing that "it saddens us because we love the Wicker Park neighborhood" in a text message. "We are going to focus our time and effort on our current River North location," he continues, "as well as our other ventures."

Boumaroun and his team took a shot in the space when they opened Barley & Brass, a sultry cocktail and upscale bar snack lounge, in November 2014. When it became apparent that that concept wasn’t hitting it off with patrons of the Division Street strip, Boumaroun switched gears, closing it in November 2015 after less than a year, and reopening the following month as another 25 Degrees.

Now, after 10 months, 25 Degrees is done too. Who will take a shot in the space next?
