Say so long to Lettuce Entertain Your Enterprises' ballyhooed Paris Club Bistro & Bar, as Rich Melman's progeny is transforming the Hubbard Street restaurant below Studio Paris' dance floor into another River North Italian restaurant. Il Porcellino is the name of the trattoria from partners R.J., Jerrod and Molly Melman, who make the move alongside chef Doug Psaltis. Paris Club's last day in business was yesterday, and LEYE hopes to open il Porcellino by the spring.

Paris Club opened in 2011, and after a scorching opening, the space underwent a series of changes. LEYE revamped Paris Club in 2014, rebuilding the French concept's space to make a more approachable experience. That's also when they divided the restaurant to also add Ramen-san, which won't be affected by the addition of il Porcellino.

So what should diners expect from il Porcellino? LEYE touted the restaurant as "a rustic every day trattoria," featuring a menu of antipasti, Sicilian focaccia pizzas and housemade pastas. Like Ramen-san, il Porcellino will offer take out, and eventually lunch and delivery. Come back for updates when more information is available.
