Frite Street, the Avondale French fry-focused restaurant that grew from The Slide Ride food truck is moving downtown. Owner Nida Rodriguez is moving it in March to 400 S. Financial Place, taking over the Skine Chops space, and closing the current North Side location to the public.

Big news!!! @fritestreet is moving downtown loopers! 400 S Financial and there will be sliders by @theslideride ! https://t.co/xxJADekOGg

The new spot will also feature sliders from Slide Ride. Frite Street opened in November 2014 on Elston, and Rodriguez confirmed the closing via Facebook: "We have outgrown our lil kitchen there. Our food truck will still be operating out of there so say hello if you see is! We will miss our Elston friters!"

That block of Financial Place is becoming quite a lunch hub, with Saucy Porka already there. Stay tuned for more.
