A year after launching its first ever hotel in Chicago, Virgin Hotels has ended its relationship with chef Rick Gresh, reps confirm. Gresh, a longtime Chicago chef who spent seven years as the executive chef at David Burke's Primehouse, garnering plenty of accolades and attention, launched all of the Virgin Hotel's restaurants in Chicago, including Miss Ricky's, the Commons Club, and the rooftop concept Cerise.
It's unknown what Gresh's next move is and who is taking over for him at the Virgin, as Gresh hasn't responded to calls and Virgin reps have yet to address the question, only saying that "Rick Gresh and Virgin Hotels recently parted ways, however the hotel's f&b concepts will continue to operate as before." Stay tuned.
