—After renovating and revamping under chef Lee Wolen nearly two years ago, Boka Restaurant Group's signature eponymous Lincoln Park restaurant has added a new facet—its first bar food menu. Dishes include cavatelli with lamb neck and milk gouda ($13), tarte flambeé with trout roe, mascarpone, everything bagel spice ($14), and desserts from pastry chef Meg Galus.

—Open for nearly four years in Uptown, Baker & Nosh is bringing its cafe items, baked goods, and more to a second location in Edgewater soon, DNAinfo reports. It's taking over El Norte at 5600 N. Ridge. [UPDATE: The new Baker & Nosh is slated to open late this spring, according to reps, and is "considerably larger" than the original and will serve new menu items and more.]

Cafe Marie-Jeanne, the new all-day French-influenced cafe, restaurant, wine bar and market from ex-Rootstock chef Mike Simmons at the burgeoning Humboldt Park corner of Augusta and California, is now fully-operational after opening for daytime hours two weeks ago. The restaurant received its liquor license last week and is serving a full wine and cocktail menu by beverage director Jamie McLennan (Rootstock, Webster's Wine Bar), is open now for dinner hours (including a three-course $32 prix fixe option), and is closed on Tuesdays.

The Garage, Chicago's original food truck commissary, run by the owner of The Salsa Truck, Chicago's first truck with a mobile food preparer's license, is shutting down for the remainder of the month to implement some changes as it hits the three-year mark, according to social media. What those changes are remains to be seen, so stay tuned.

—Evanstonians have a new Sunday brunch option in Hearth, the new-ish restaurant in the Quince space. The menu, which you can read here, holds a variety of dishes including breakfast plates, sandwiches, pastries, egg dishes, and composed items such as black cod with sweet potato and Spanish chorizo hash.

Magnolia Cafe, the 14 year-old Uptown staple, appears to be closed for good months after it temporarily closed after being burglarized, DNAinfo reports.
