Four Corners Reveals Name, Concept For Former American Junkie Space

Check out construction photos of The Fremont which could open in November.

The new project that will fill the former American Junkie space has a name and more. The Fremont represents a departure from Four Corners Tavern Group's sports bars (West End, Kirkwood, Gaslight, etc.). They're gunning for more nightlife with live music and DJs on the second floor.

Four Corners is aiming for a November opening and has begun hiring for the two-floor space at 15 W. Illinois St. The first floor aims to attract happy hour revelers, loungers and patrons grabbing dinner. The second floor is more of a party atmosphere with the music and all. It's not a radical departure from the clubstaurant recipe that American Junkie deployed before closing in January.

Food-wise, Fremont will serve dinner every day and brunch on the weekends. They'll offer Japanese-style fried chicken, salads and sandwiches. Come back later for more details, and check out the above construction photos.
