First reported last December, the third BIG & little's is finally ready to open in Wicker Park this coming Tuesday. Tony D'Alessandro says that he and co-owner Gary Strauss might pop open the new restaurant at 1310 N. Milwaukee Ave. for a few hours between now and then in order to get the crew's legs under them.
Heading up the location will be Omar Cadena, who moves over from the Belmont location. D'Alessandro expects to do additional specials at the Wicker Park location and eventually fill out the menu more. Wicker Park will have a few more items at the start than the other locations do, he says.
The space looks like "Gotham City meets Lego Land," D'Alessandro states. The pair had old school graffiti artist Tyrue "Slang" Jones work on the interior art design. "Slang" previously did similar work for Emporium Arcade Bar. See a sample of his creations at BIG & little's below.
The move to the Wicker Park space, which used to be a nail salon, is another step in D'Alessandro's and Strauss' desire to grow their popular fast-casual restaurants. Where will they go next? Read through the Wicker Park menu below.
