The owners of Lincoln Square Lanes aren't sure of their next step after Monday's fire destroyed the nearly-century old bowling alley. But management's established an online fund-raising campaign to help its former employees that lost their jobs after flames engulfed the longtime alley and bar.
"These funds will be used to compensate its employees while they look for new jobs. This is something that is not covered by the insurance and the employees need help now. We cannot yet promise a second LSL will take its place but these funds will help to restore the LSL fams faith and aid them in paying a bill while they search for a new job."
So far, ownership has raised $3,175 of a $50,000 goal. They explained the campaign in a Facebook post, saying the insurance process is lengthy, and that they want to take care of staff right away. They also mentioned Matty K's Hardware store, which was victimized by the blaze. Matty's ownership has set up their own page to raise money.
After the fire, Lincoln Square Lanes management is attempting to keep a positive attitude, posting a photo of a flag retrieved from the debris. Is it a sign?
