—Start getting ready for some sexy steak. STK Chicago, the forthcoming location of the "sexiest steakhouse experience you've ever had," has opened the reservation lines after receiving its business license. It could open as soon as late next week.

—"Sandwich King" Jeff Mauro is hoping to open his first restaurant, Pork & Mindy's in the old Red Hen space on Damen in Bucktown, in late November, he revealed in a video Q&A yesterday. He also predicted that he'll host "Saturday Night Live" one day.

—Fancy Langham Hotel restaurant Travelle has rebranded as Travelle Kitchen & Bar and is launching new menus for every meal (dinner, lunch, brunch) plus a new beverage program from recently-hired beverage director Priscilla Young. New items include roasted bone marrow with short rib gravy and a cask-aged Negroni.

—Maria's Community Bar's brewery arm Marz Community Brewing has secured a large building on 36th and Iron Streets for a future facility. Ownership is revealing little detail about their plans for the space at this time, which could conceivably expand its brewing production from nano status and possibly have a taproom, so stay tuned.

—Tasty fast-casual Indian restaurant Naansense is working towards opening a second downtown location at 113 S. Clinton. Owner Hiran Patel hasn't revealed an opening timeframe.

—Closed for the last few days due to a gas leak, white-hot Cajun seafood restaurant The Angry Crab is hoping to reopen tonight.

—Here comes yet another quick-fired pizza chain. Your Pie, a Georgia-based operation, is planning to open the first of five planned Chicagoland locations on Oct. 2 in Glenview, according to Crain's.

Two hired its first dedicated pastry chef, George Kovach, and revamped the dessert menu. New sweets include a "PB&J dessert" and peach cheesecake.

—Something new is finally slated for the long-vacant space that used to house the restaurant/bar/nightclub hybrid Boomer's in Lincoln Square—a Pizza HutDNAInfo reports.
