Black Iron Tavern Ready For River West; DMK Burger Bar Hits Navy Pier; More

The Breakfast Lounge is feeding DePaul kids and Café Chien's pouring java and hosting classes in Albany Park.

RIVER WEST— Black Iron Tavern is chef Michael Tauslatest project. He's created a new River West bar and restaurant with a comfy feel that's poised to become a hotspot. Status: Opening today, 401 N. Milwaukee Ave.

NAVY PIER— DMK Burger Bar and Fish Bar opens today to entertain tourists and Chicagoans at Navy Pier. This space will have a special children's menu, a walk-up window with alcoholic frozen beverages, and new outdoor seating. Status: Certified open, 600 E. Grand Ave.

DEPAUL— The Breakfast Loungea new diner in West DePaul, opened earlier this month. They serve breakfast, lunch and brunch, including chicken and waffles. Status: Certified open, 2360 N. Clybourn Ave.

ALBANY PARK— Café Chien, a new coffee shop that will also offer BYOB painting, guitar and hairstyle classes, will be ready for Albany Park tomorrow. They'll serve a small menu of pastries along with their coffee drinks. Status: Grand opening 8 a.m. on Saturday, 4749 N. Spaulding Ave.
