OLD TOWN— Cassava Cafe is ready to pour bubble tea and Metropolis coffees down on LaSalle Drive. There's even a foosball table inside and board games. They also have slushes, including avocado and red bean. Status: Certified open, 1211 N. LaSalle Dr.

LOGAN SQUARE— After a couple of delays Logan Square's Catalpa Kitchen is open, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. The modern diner also has boozed-up juices, if that's your thing. Status: Certified open, 2800 W. Logan Blvd.

BEVERLY— Barney Callaghan's Pub is a new family-owned bar at the former Keegan's spot. It's named after the family dog. [DNAinfo] Status: Certified open, 10618 S. Western Ave.
WICKER PARK— In another name change, Mac's American Pub is now Mac's Wood Grilled. They've been testing food out since late July, with a focus on locally-sourced meats. There's a grand opening on Sept. 15 with a tap takeover from San Fran's Almanac Beer Co. Status: Soft open, 1801 Division St.

THE LOOP— After two months, Four Corners Tavern Group has reopened Sidebar Grille. Studio K, responsible for Embeya and Girl & The Goat, remodeled the space. Status: Certified open, 121 W. Wacker Dr.
AURORA— Suburban Aurora is getting a branch of the Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises' M Burger. It's the sixth location for the chain that boosts a secret menu. Status: Certified open, Chicago Premium Outlets, 1650 Premium Outlet Blvd, off I-88.
