UKRAINIAN VILLAGE—The people behind Bridgeport cult favorite Maria's Packaged Goods & Community Bar could take over the space that used to house the venerable dive bar Club Foot on Augusta. Ownership wants to sell the bar and liquor license to Maria's owners Mike and Ed Marszewski, who would open a bar with the working title The Golden Arms, but they still need to go through the community and have a liquor moratorium lifted. For now there's three po' boys on the menu (chicken-fried shrimp, barbecue chicken, beet and avocado; $10 each) but co-owner Calvin Marty promises an expanded list of Creole dishes, such as gumbo and corn fritters, in the future. [EaterWire] [UPDATE: Chef Kevin Cowens of the private supper club Prince Po' Boys is cooking said po' boys at Best Intentions.]
